From individual pieces of furniture to complete fit outs for homes and commercial enterprises, Isherwoods specialises in creating timeless furniture and fine joinery with a contemporary sensibility.

Our workshop was established in Sydney in 1997, and enjoys a reputation for craftsmanship, professionalism and an eye for detail.

Over the past 20 years, we’ve worked with private individuals, and also with some of the country’s leading architects, interior designers and builders. These partnerships continue to this day.

Our relationship with our clients is at the heart of every thing we do. No matter how big or small, we take pride and pleasure in working closely with you to produce beautiful furniture perfectly tailored to your needs.

MEET THE DESIGNER

Simon Isherwood graduated with first class honours in science from Manchester University before undertaking a Diploma and Advanced Degree in Furniture and Design from the London School of Furniture Making.

After establishing his own workshop in London, he worked with some of the city’s most exciting design and architectural firms, including Nagan Johnson and El Ultimo Grito.

Simon moved to Sydney in 1997, working from a small studio in Chippendale before relocating to his current workshop in Leichhardt. Here he leads a dedicated team of crafts people, whilst continuing to develop his own designs.

A love of Australian timbers and a passion for sustainability and excellence distinguishes his outlook and work. When not in the workshop, Simon can be found bushwalking or in the surf.
